Written Reports

To all Company Directors,

We assign great value to the precision and completeness that come from committing proposals to writing. There seems to be nothing like translating an idea or analysis to writing to expose weaknesses or incomplete aspects of the thinking. It accentuates the importance of facts and logic rather than the position or personal persuasion of an individual.

I have heard people say that some companies are "faster on their feet" than (COMPANY NAME) because they rely more on verbal presentations than written proposals for decision- making. I only wish that all of our competitors would rely more heavily on verbal presentations for their decision-making. It is a clear second best approach.
